He's not a flower, but Willis loves to follow when I'm strolling about in the gardens.
When gardening becomes too strenuous, Willis retires to a chair in the carport.
The better to watch you, my dear.
There's always a gardener in every crowd. :) Love the poppies and the peonies make me think of my grandmother. I still remember bringing them inside her farm-house, ants and all. Deb
ReplyDeleteDeb; Ants and peonies seem to have a symbiotic relationship! I love these old-fashioned flowers.
ReplyDeleteYour garden looks so beautiful. It will be a wrench for you to leave I think, even though you haven't been there so very long. I hope the plants you plan to take transplant well. Your roses and peonies are beautiful. My Roserie de l'Hay has just come out this last week but doesn't look as hale and hearty as usual so I had better give her some bonemeal.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful! Summer is definitely more advanced with you.
ReplyDeleteWillis is like my little Lucy. Who needs a dog when such a faithful cat is always at your feet or on your lap?
What beauties and I hope you are taking a lot of these to your new home! I'm trying to wait patiently for pictures and writings about it all. :-)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy all that beauty surrounding you and I love your garden helper.

Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteit all looks so lovely. Iris are one of my favourites.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! Daffodils are beginning to bloom here, Hoping that the polar vortex "hasn't done" in our roses. Everyday I examine the canes looking for a sign of life. Love your peonies!
ReplyDeleteLovely flowers - you are well ahead of us, no roses yet though there is colour showing onmy paeonies. That's a gorgeous photo of Willis - he's a very handsome cate indeed.
ReplyDeleteoh, you must come and share your garden over at Fishtail Cottage's garden party!!! xoxo, tracie
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, - our peonies are just beginning, - the oriental variety precedes them. And the Iris are stretching themselves into bloom, but no roses yet, although the buds are showing pink. There must be plants amongst them you cannot bear to leave behind...
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful. You seem to be doing very well with your camera!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful set of photos, as someone says your garden is more advance than English ones. Loved the peonies and roses..
