I have a big pot of fainting from the heat Rudbeckia to go in on the bank and MUST get that in today, pollen or no pollen!

Glad you had rain just when you needed it. We have had a fairly dry month - pretty hot at times, and watering round needed. The new hose has earned its keep and turned its talents to cleaning cars too. The wrap-around garden here is a joy, though plantings of anything other than shrubs is sparse so I am indulging myself with perennials every week to make it beautiful.

I hope that seedlings in the new bed come on well and aren't nobbled by anything. So far we have only seen TWO small slugs here - but then it has been pretty dry and in wet May and cold April, we weren't looking for them at all!

Dodder I have heard of but here it grows on heathland and Gorse, Heather and even Wild Thyme are its hosts.

Enjoy your book on the porch. I'm reading The Winter Sea by Susanna Kearsley and can't put it down.Bovey Bellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13117332471600275100noreply@blogger.com
