You have some spectacular butterflies - the largest ones we have in our garden are the Red Admirals. This week we have had a pair of Holly Blues though, and as the Blues are my favourite butterflies, it's good to see them here, especially after the two awful summers we had which decimated the butterfly population generally.Bovey Bellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13117332471600275100noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7314065896417867122.post-33105155133683727092010-08-25T04:14:38.787-04:002010-08-25T04:14:38.787-04:00beautiful photographs- that spider is amazing, isn...beautiful photographs- that spider is amazing, isnt she?

Leanne xLeannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09573431221299174647noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7314065896417867122.post-65822907367315575032010-08-25T03:15:07.252-04:002010-08-25T03:15:07.252-04:00Wonderful photographs. The New England Asters look like what we call in England, Michaelmas Daisies. Michaelmas is on September 29th so Wikipedia tells us. I knew it was in September but couldn't remember the date.ChrisJhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11550420299395301062noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7314065896417867122.post-10927026603719026522010-08-25T02:23:06.843-04:002010-08-25T02:23:06.843-04:00There's a feel of autumn about these photos, s...There's a feel of autumn about these photos, summer's last hurrah is with you now by the looks of it. I laughed when I read about you 'galumphing around' after a butterfly trying to get a good photo, I often do the same thing. It's hard to get close enough and at the right angle without them spotting you and flying off just as you are all set to take the photo:)Rowanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13679130612798888266noreply@blogger.com
