He rattles them now for a short while and then gets interested in what's going on outside. Like Nellie, though, he has been known to jump on the back of the headboard and on to the bedside tables to see what he can knock down. Most of the time we try to ignore him, thinking that his getting a response from us reinforces the bad behavior for next time. Oh well. That is life with cats.ChrisJhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11550420299395301062noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7314065896417867122.post-19838843265973484972014-02-25T11:44:48.172-05:002014-02-25T11:44:48.172-05:00Beautiful Boys - no wonder you are in thrall to th...Beautiful Boys - no wonder you are in thrall to them!

Our cats all sleep in the utility room here, which is next to the boiler room so not too cold. Years ago we tried letting cats sleep on the bed, but that 5 am feline wash routine didn`t work well when we had to be up at 6.30 or 7am for work!Dartford Warblerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04352965211143836326noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7314065896417867122.post-86555908620143144492014-02-25T11:00:02.413-05:002014-02-25T11:00:02.413-05:00I adore the names of your cats and this post; cats...I adore the names of your cats and this post; cats are lovely creatures. I had one neutered male who'd terrorize the neighborhood if we didn't bring him in. When we moved here one of our cats was attacked by dogs (in our yard) and finally had to have him put down after running up a $800 vet bill.
Our cat now is an indoor cat except when we take her out on a leash.Mac n' Janethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05732924562630675589noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7314065896417867122.post-18859674611610309402014-02-25T10:10:55.051-05:002014-02-25T10:10:55.051-05:00I do miss my cats. Keith shakes his head in despair at me, as I tender to their every wish. However, when it comes to Night-times, they are all put to bed in the kitchen, where they have the catflap to use should they wish to come and go under the cover of darkness. They are not MEANT to be on beds at all (not my rule, you understand), but I have noticed since we have had the boys, they - strangely - have been allowed certain bed privileges!!! and Keith turns a blind eye . . . I have to say, if I was going to be summonsed by the cats in the middle of the night to be let out, I might not altogether approve. I know when a cat has inadvertently been shut in upstairs (or gone and hidden), they make their presence well and truly felt, and it's usually me that has to take them downstairs. But we love them to bits all the same . . .Bovey Bellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13117332471600275100noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7314065896417867122.post-58565794101347944202014-02-25T06:50:15.443-05:002014-02-25T06:50:15.443-05:00Reading this post made smile and understand every ...Reading this post made smile and understand every word.
