Cats Hate Water--Right???

A fuzzy photo due to the shake that happens when the zoom lens is fully extended, but
the image tells the story.
That's Nellie splatting his paws in an icy puddle while rain mizzles down.

Help arrives.
There is apparently treasure lurking in the depths of the puddle.

Little Edward forks a twig from the depths of the puddle.

Regrouping.
When the game grew old it was inside to dry wet feet and fur.
This is why the finer points of decorating give way to washable cushion covers,
soft blankets or throws on the furniture.
Its a cats' world.

  1. They only hate water if you need to bathe them! My dear Opie would fish for minnows through the ice. Cats are amazing and yes, it is a cats' world. We are just lucky to be a part of it!

    1. Marilyn; When I tried to give flea soap baths last year it became a free-for-all. These kittens seemed releived to be bathed when they arrived in filthy condition last summer. It might be a different story if I attempted it now--although they also love our shower.

    1. Lorraine; Its lucky for the 'kittens' that they are indeed very cute--as they are also rather creatively naughty!

    1. Kath; We are [some of us] surely slaves to the whims of our pets!

  4. Oh, geez, they're cute. They have their own little life going on. It is so fun to see what they get into daily.I love following along to watch the adventures of cats that have the freedom of the outdoors while staying safe. The perfect life.

    1. Deb; I so hope my cats with outdoor access are safe! We are very watchful of these three and make sure they are inside at night. They are each full of personality and charm.

  5. Cats are such characters ...not sure one can ever say they dont do Blah Blah. Wonderful shots ....must admit I have never seen cats paddle. We have a couple who dont mind being bathed and another that stands in the hand basin and taps the tap until you turn it on slowly !!!

    1. Angie; We seem to be blessed with very quirky cats. Water in any form seems to have great allure for these three. They are fascinated by the bathroom shower, popping their heads round the curtain, jumping in to lick water from our feet as soon as the taps are turned off.

  6. Our Siamese loved water and would paddle and fish around in a puddle that formed beside the patio. Characters, critters, creatively naughty but oh so cute!

Regarding the gf food, I agree its not the same but worth it to me not to be going around in a fog.
