Catnip High

The catnip which I sowed liberally last spring has burgeoned into several 'plantations.'
Teasel begs me to bring her a sprig each time I go out.

"No, I'm NOT cross-eyed--I'm looking carefully at my paw."

"It's MY CATNIP and I don't wish to share!"

"Something about this stuff makes me sleepy!"

  1. I have never tried my cats with fresh cat nip, I usually buy dried and make little fabric bags full for them. There's nothing they like better than rolling around and rubbing them over their faces.

  2. Briony: I have often made dried catnip "mice" for my feline tribe. My grand daughter made some using my best batik quilt fabrics. These were much loved, dragged about until totally and disgustingly mauled and soggy. Only trouble being several of the cat tribe prowled the house at midnight and beyond carrying a prize "mouse" and roaring in triumph over their "catch."

  3. I remember my Mums cat used to get into quite a fenzy, then crash out and sleep it off.

  4. Cute, cute photos! Thanks for your kind comments on my blog. I'm improving each day and expect to be back to normal by next week --whatever normal is! It's been a rough few weeks. I'm getting back to visiting all my blogging friends. Blessings!

  5. Love the pictures of the cats. I've watched my daughter's cats reacting to catnip and it's really funny.

  6. My cat has no use for catnip, too bad because there are definitely times that I'd like to slow her down.
